The JBL 4305P, with a compact design, is the first active speaker in the consumer-grade Studio Monitor series, offering amazing performance and wired/wireless connectivity. The 4305P uses a series of JBL patented acoustic technologies, delivering powerful audio impact that makes one believe that they are listening to a pair of much larger speakers. It also comes with a rich array of wired and wireless connection features.
As a fully independent active speaker system, the 4305P has a built-in 300W RMS power, 24bit/192kHz high-resolution DAC and six digital/analog inputs. Other features include Bass Contour control, to compensate for the acoustic differences of speaker placement and positioning, and induction line level control for external subwoofer use.
The 4305P’s advancement is also reflected in its compatibility with streaming media transmission. It provides wireless music transmission through Ethernet, built-in Google Chromecast, Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth. The built-in DAC has a precision of up to 24bit/192kHz. Of course, the 4305P also has multiple wired connections, including asynchronous USB and optical digital inputs as well as 3.5mm analog inputs. The 4305P has balanced inputs, and can choose to control the input sensitivity.
The 4305P is divided into two main and auxiliary speakers, L/R can be arbitrarily selected. The main speaker has volume, mute, input selection and Bluetooth pairing controls, and the back is all physical inputs. It comes with a Bluetooth remote control, which can be controlled as part of the Google Home or Apple Airplay ecosystem. When the main and auxiliary speakers are connected wirelessly, the 4305P can provide a resolution of up to 96kHz. When connected with the attached 2m long Digital Link cable, the resolution can be extended to 192kH. The 4305P also supports MQA audio files and has been certified by Roon Ready.
Like the other models in the Studio Monitor series, the 4305P uses patented JBL transducers to achieve excellent acoustic performance that traditional designs cannot provide. The 2410H-2 1-inch compression driver and high-definition imaging horn work together to provide crystal-clear highs and lifelike dynamic capabilities. The 5.25-inch cast frame, fiber composite cone bass achieves a reflective output, with dual reflective tuning ports. The built-in D-class amplifier provides 25W of output for the treble and 125W of output for the bass, resulting in a total power output of 300W RMS. The 4305P cabinet is made of 3⁄4-inch MDF board and internal reinforcement, and has a solid wood veneer, with natural walnut or black walnut options, both with blue grilles.
