MBL Akustikgerate GmbH, founded in 1979, integrates the philosophy of “perfectionism” into MBL audio products. Artistic thought is infused into MBL’s design. To achieve MBL’s highest standards, everything from electronic equipment to speakers, from delicate volume knobs to amplifier chassis, is manufactured in MBL’s own factory located in Berlin, Germany. They rely on no one else, ensuring that every detail of manufacturing meets the highest standards.
Becoming a world-renowned German premium audio brand is not a fluke. MBL is brave in developing innovative technologies and has set a higher technical standard, which has also become MBL’s tradition. MBL’s innovative spirit has left a deep impression on industry authorities. The 360-degree omnidirectional speaker 101B designed by MBL has been voted as the dream ultimate speaker for music lovers by the American audiophile bible. At present, MBL’s 360-degree omnidirectional speakers are still recognized as the world’s number one.
The MBL 101X-Treme MKII omnidirectional 360-degree speaker, which belongs to the Reference Line series, is a revolutionary design of the world’s first 360-degree omnidirectional speaker 101X-Treme MKII. Through Radialstrahler technology, it reproduces a truly three-dimensional sound stage.
The latest generation MKII subwoofer includes: a newly designed built-in power amplifier and a 2-band parametric equalizer, which can strengthen or weaken various frequency ranges, making it adaptable to different listening rooms. The high and mid-range units are composed of curved Carbon Fiber, and the low-frequency unit is composed of curved Aluminum/Magnesium Alloy aluminum sheet to form a ring-shaped sounding unit, all handmade, plus a precisely designed crossover. The MBL 101X is a pair of elegant, modern, and unparalleled 4-way split omnidirectional 360-degree speakers.
The MBL 101 X-Treme MKII is the latest flagship 360-degree speaker system after the MBL 101E. Traditional speakers simply cannot create a full-range sound effect, making it difficult to produce a real feeling like a live performance; the real performance effect includes direct, reflected, complex and rich harmonic sounds. MBL challenges the impossible convention and revolutionarily designs the world’s first 360-degree omnidirectional speaker.
Through Radialstrahler technology, the 101X-Treme MKII reproduces a truly three-dimensional sound stage. Radialstrahler technology uses a ring-shaped sounding unit (high, mid, and low frequency) arranged vertically from top to bottom, with one group each at the top and bottom, vertically placed on a precision steel bracket to achieve phase consistency.
The ultra-low frequency is placed in another group of newly designed active (built-in power amplifier) ultra-low frequency cabinets, with one group of independent ultra-low frequency cabinets on the left and right; the appearance is a square column; it is equipped with a total of 4 12-inch diameter ultra-low frequency units to achieve 360-degree omnidirectional sound effect.
