Anthem AVM 90

The latest 2022 version of Anthem’s flagship surround processor, the AVM 90, adds performance to the already impressive feature set, and now supports HDMI 2.1 and HDCP 2.3 protocols for full 8K/60Hz or 4K/120Hz, as well as HDR10+, ALLM, VRM, QMS, and QFT. QFT… The DAC section is equipped with ESS Sabre’s highest-end DAC chip, which supports up to 32bit / 768 kHz sampling rate.

The AVM 90 features 19-channel (15.4-channel) processing, full Dolby Atmos and DTS:X surround sound, and support for the IMAX Enhanced format. Connect, Roon Ready (coming soon)… The AVM 90 also comes with a full range of wireless audio streaming features, including Chromecast built-in, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Roon Ready (coming soon), and Bluetooth connectivity so you can listen to your music in any way you want.

The AVM 90 takes power eriously, with a large, over-supplied internal transformer that isolates the power required for digital, video, audio, and control circuits for maximum separation. Each output has either RCA or XLR output for more flexible connection to different amplifiers.

The space correction section, of course, uses Anthem’s proudest ARC – Anthem Room Correction system, which not only automatically measures the distance of each speaker and adjusts its output to achieve the best balance through the included precision microphone, but also immediately addresses the effects of poor space acoustics. For experienced players who want to build high-end home theater, AVM 90 is definitely the right choice.
