Beyond Mini-LED: Hisense Debuts Groundbreaking RGB Technology
At the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Hisense captured global attention with its groundbreaking RGB tri-dimensional color control LCD display technology and the unveiling of the world's largest 116-inch RGB Mini-LED television. On February 19th, Hisense hosted an exclusive experience event in Beijing, officially presenting the world's first RGB Mini-LED TV, the 100UX, to the Chinese market. The company further announced that its 116-inch, 100-inch, and 85-inch RGB Mini-LED television models are slated for their official market launch and release at the Appliance & Electronics World Expo (AWE) this March.

This event marks the Chinese debut of Hisense's groundbreaking 100-inch RGB Mini-LED television, signifying the official introduction of their proprietary RGB tri-dimensional color control LCD display technology to the domestic market. Distinguished from conventional Mini-LED systems, which are limited to monochromatic backlights with partitioned light modulation, Hisense RGB Mini-LED technology represents a paradigm shift. By harnessing the power of independent control over red, green, and blue light sources, it achieves a transformative evolution from rudimentary "black and white backlighting" to a sophisticated "full-spectrum color backlight" architecture.
This technological leap elevates the television's color gamut coverage to an expansive 97% of the BT.2020 standard. This achievement allows the television to surpass QD-Mini LED technology across multiple critical dimensions, including color purity, color gamut area, color volume, and color control precision. Furthermore, it positions RGB Mini-LED performance as superior to that of QD-OLED televisions in these key aspects. Integrated with the next-generation Hisense Hi-View Engine X AI picture quality chipset, this product achieves industry-leading levels of dark field detail and motion smoothness. Particularly in expansive, large-screen cinematic scenarios, the technology excels at precisely reproducing the nuanced layers of natural light and shadow.

If RGB Mini-LED represents the zenith of current display technology, then the 163-inch and 136-inch Micro-LED televisions that Hisense is poised to unveil at AWE point towards the future of visual experiences. In contrast to Mini-LED, which relies on LCD panels, Micro-LED technology employs self-emissive pixels. 1 Each microscopic LED operates as an independent sub-pixel light source, completely transcending the limitations imposed by backlight modules and liquid crystal layers. Hisense's forthcoming Micro-LED products will shatter traditional display size constraints, offering seamless integration into home environments and limitless customizability through modular tiling. This will usher in an era of "size freedom" and "form-factor adaptability" in display technology.
In terms of AI-driven interactive experiences, all Hisense televisions equipped with intelligent agent capabilities, including the RGB Mini-LED models, now feature DeepSeek functionality. Leveraging the profound analytical and reasoning capabilities of the Xinghai large-scale AI model matrix, Hisense AI televisions will more accurately discern user intent, providing a fluid, intuitive, and natural interactive experience.
With the successful implementation of RGB Mini-LED, Micro-LED, and core AI technologies, Hisense is poised to further solidify its position as a global leader in the television industry. According to the latest data from market research firm Omdia, Hisense televisions achieved a global ranking of second place in terms of shipment volume in 2024, with 29.14 million units shipped. 1 This marks the third consecutive year Hisense has held this ranking, sustaining a remarkable seven-year streak of continuous growth. 1 Furthermore, Hisense continues to maintain its competitive edge as the global leader in shipment volume for 85-inch and 100-inch large-screen televisions, as well as in the laser TV category. 2 In the high refresh rate television market segment, Hisense televisions also secured a strong global second-place position, capturing a 19.6% share of shipments.
