Focal Aria Evo X Series: Redefining French Audio Excellence

French audio pioneer Focal has introduced its latest masterpiece - the Aria Evo X series, representing a significant evolution of their acclaimed Aria lineup. The new collection comprises five models: the Aria Evo X N°1 bookshelf speaker, three floorstanding models (N°2, N°3, and N°4), and the Aria Evo X Center channel speaker.

At the heart of this new series lies Focal's renowned M-shaped inverted dome TAM tweeter, an advanced iteration of their TNF tweeter. This sophisticated driver delivers an expansive frequency response reaching effortlessly to 30kHz, ensuring exceptional high-frequency reproduction and musical detail.

Technical innovations abound throughout the series. The midrange driver incorporates Focal's Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) technology, significantly reducing distortion while enhancing dynamic balance. The bass drivers feature a reinforced magnet system, resulting in more authoritative low-frequency impact. The crossover network has been comprehensively redesigned with premium components to achieve superior tonal balance.

Aesthetically, the Aria Evo X series introduces a striking new Moss Green High Gloss finish alongside traditional options of Black High Gloss and Walnut. Each model features an elegant leather-effect front baffle, exemplifying Focal's attention to visual refinement.

The series continues to utilize Focal's innovative Flax cone technology in its midrange drivers, first introduced in the 2013 Aria 900 series. These cones, crafted from French Flax fiber, are renowned for their natural, uncolored sound reproduction, particularly excelling in midrange richness and precise bass articulation.

The range begins with the Aria Evo X N°1, a two-way bookshelf speaker ideal for rooms exceeding 15 square meters, with optimal listening distances between 2-3 meters. It pairs the M-shaped inverted dome TAM tweeter with a 165mm mid-bass driver, achieving an efficiency of 89.5dB (8 ohm).

Moving up the line, the Aria Evo X N°2 floorstander, designed for spaces over 20 square meters, employs a three-way configuration with dual 165mm Flax bass drivers. With a recommended listening distance of 3 meters, it delivers an impressive 91.5dB efficiency (8 ohm).

The Aria Evo X N°3, suited for rooms exceeding 25 square meters, builds upon the N°2 design with an additional bass driver, offering enhanced low-frequency capability and 92dB efficiency (8 ohm). It performs optimally at listening distances between 3-4 meters.

The flagship Aria Evo X N°4, engineered for spaces over 30 square meters, introduces a substantial 210mm bass driver to its arsenal. With a 92.5dB efficiency (8 ohm) and recommended listening distances of 3-5 meters, it represents the pinnacle of the Aria Evo X series' capabilities.
